Workshop inspired by Jane Goodall teaches Vancouver Teens How to Change the World

On November 2, some 150 Vancouver teens will gather at the Roundhouse to spend the day how to make change happen in their communities at the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots workshop.

Roots & Shoots is the Jane Goodall Institute’s global network of youth creating positive change. The November 2nd workshop is one of series the Institute is running in major cities across the country. It is one aspect of the training, resources and support that Roots & Shoots provides youth in realizing their project goals.

Teenagers will be guided by local experts and organizations in exploring local and global issues in depth and then in creating action plans to tackle them. Workshop focus topics include species decline, climate change, reducing environmental footprint and using the Internet to achieve change.
