Welcome to Vancouver's Strathcona Arts & Culture Pages

LiveIn is committed to keeping the Arts alive and Artists thriving in Vancouver's Eastside

Strathcona has an incredible and vibrant Arts Community with studios, artists, and galleries occupying many locations. This year, for example, the Eastside Culture Crawl featured almost 300 Artists, hosted in almost 50 Venues / Studios, who received more than 10,000 visitors in 2008. All artists live within the Strathcona neighbourhood, a prerequisite to participation. These pages are to support the Arts Community of Strathcona, address issues, promote events and artists, and be a central resource. Support the Strathcona Arts Community!

See the full-size Eastside Culture Crawl slideshow here.

Strathcona's Eastside Culture Crawl

Strathconians are a lucky bunch, when you get right down to thinking about it. We have a fairly quaint community. Not without its' problems considering the proximity to downtown, etc., the Strathcona neighbourhood's decline in the history of Vancouver left a central pocket available for many artistic people from all parts of the world seeking a means to express their passion into and through their art.

LiveinStrathcona.com is very pleased to pull all of this together to showcase the brilliant talent that has carved a name into the Vancouver landscape. It would be a shame for the city to neglect the treasure this Strathcona community has become, and the means and effort of Artists and contributors to the success of the Eastside Culture Crawl: A Local Event of Great Renown!

Artist Profiles:

Calling Eastside Vancouver Artists

Now that the Arts Pages Community initiative has begun, it must be continued. As a side project, I hope adding one new feature profile per month will be an attainable goal. The only missing link is You: The Artist. Drop me a line through the Contact Us page so I can follow up with you. I know the LiveIn team would be delighted to help you promote your craftsmanship, your passion and art, and see you succeed as many other established artists have done.
